Connect CPU To TV and Windows Installation Query

Question: I would like to know how I could connect my CPU to the TV(instead of getting a monitor),Using the video/Audio in port.

Thanks in advance

Answer: This can be done quite easily but remember that the display quality will depend on what port you use to connect the CPU to the TV. To get the best possible results, one should connect CPU to a LCD TV using HDMI cable. If you use a normal TV, then the quality will be bad and only good enough for viewing movies etc.

To get started you CPU needs to have either of VGA, RCA, DVI, HDMI or S-Video outputs.

1. Using VGA is not recommended due to low quality and high cable cost. VGA cable has RCA connectors at other end but it hard to find.

2. RCA to cable is also an option but again has same down points as the above method. Also there are hardly any graphics card that have RCA connectors these days.

3. S-Video is the most used connector for connecting CPU to TV as cable costs are low and quality is decent. But remember that it is extremely important to find the right kind of cable, otherwise there can be loads of problem.

4. DVI and HDMI are the newer ports used to connect CPU to LCD TVs. DVI has different versions, so check it out before buying one. Using a HDMI cable is the best way to do this but both your PC and TV need to have HDMI connectors.

Also you will need to set the mode of display output in graphics card settings if not detected automatically. For this purpose you will need a monitor, and you can not do without it.

The second query is by aman pal :

i want to know about window installation.

A bit more elaboration could have certainly helped a lot. Assuming you are asking the basic procedure of windows installation, it is very simple. Just get your hands on a bootable Windows CD/DVD and put it up in the drive and boot from it. This will begin the installation. Select the partition or make one in which you want Windows to get installed and enter the key when asked to. You might have to set up a few things like country, internet settings etc if you are installing Windows XP. This is it, Windows will be set up automatically in a few minutes depending on your PC configuration. If this isn't what you were looking for, put your query in the comment below!

Nokia E71 Printer Drivers & Charger Query
1st Question: Where to find printer driver for Symbian O S for Nokia E-71 mobile?
Answer: Assuming that you are asking for a PictBridge compatible application for the Nokia E71, we would like to tell you that the Nokia E71 is fully compatible with PictBridge. You just need to have a PictBridge enabled printer to connect your E71 to. You can check that in your printer's manual or on the manufacturer's site. If you plan to buy a new printer, you can check whether it is PictBridge enabled. Nokia has a special implementation of PictBridge called XpressPrint which all new Nokia phones like the E71 support. To check a list of XpressPrint enabled printers, check this http://europe.nokia.com/A4164064. To connect your phone to the PictBridge / Xpressprint enabled printer, check your user's manual. After connecting, you just need to access that file in Gallery and select "Print" from the Options menu. Fo more info on XpressPrint, visit http://europe.nokia.com/xpressprint 2nd Question:
NOKIA E71 query Hi ! I have synchronized my notebook and the mobile. But am unable to charge my mobile through the USB cable, which I could do so before the PC suite was installed. Any changes in settings recommended ? Thanks
Answer: The Nokia E71 comes with a micro USB port and unfortunately it doesn't support charging when connected to a PC through a USB port using a data cable. You can charge it using your standard charger through the socket at the bottom. So there is nothing you can do about it charging through the USB cable, with or without PC Suite.

NAS and Mobile Signal Booster Query

The first query is by Dave :

Hi,

i have setup a wireless home network using a belkin wireless router. I recently purchased a 1TB nas drive. When I connect this drive to the router and run the software provided on my PC it cannot find the drive. Do i have to change any settings on the router or PC to allow it to see the NAS????

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There can be many problems which can lead to NAS drive not getting recognised by your wireless router. The foremost thing that you should do is reset the NAS settings of the router to factory default ones. Also connect the drive to the router using Ethernet port and not a USB port. Run NAS setup and assign IP address to the drive and you will be up and running in a matter of minutes.

If this does not sort out the issue, make sure that Ethernet port light comes on when you plug in the NAS drive to ensure the interface works fine. You can purchase a copy of Network Magic to fix the problem automatically also.

The second query is by ROW :

There is something called mobile signal booster. It is in the form of small sticker like chip. The companies advertise that you can install it on your phone under the battery and it will boost the signals coming on your phone...

Does that work really? If yes, which company you recommend

Mobile signal boosters are a waste of money and hardly provide any significant boost to the signal strength. Mobile manufacturers already tweak the handset for maximum performance and such "stickers" are not of much help. Although this might not be applicable to your problem, but one should check out signal reception capabilities of a phone before buying. Nokia handsets generally have better signal reception quality than their counterparts.
